Hands-On Floral Design Workshop

A two-hour immersion in seasonal flowers, from first stem to finished arrangement

Your Workshop Journey

01

Build-A-Vase

Your foundation in floral design

50 min

We start at the beginning. You will learn how to prep your vessel, create a simple grid to support your stems, and build a lush, full arrangement from the ground up. We will talk about choosing a color story, creating rhythm with different textures, and knowing when an arrangement feels finished. By the end of this session, you will have a gorgeous vase arrangement and the confidence to recreate it at home.

What you'll learn

  • How to condition and prep fresh-cut stems for long-lasting arrangements
  • Techniques for building structure in a vase using a flower grid
  • The fundamentals of balance, proportion, and movement in floral design
02

Compote Centerpiece

Elevate your skills with a classic form

50 min

Now that you have the fundamentals down, we move into a more structured design. The compote centerpiece is a timeless form, perfect for dinner tables, mantels, or anywhere you want a low, lush focal point. You will learn how to work with a compote vessel and floral foam alternative, layering greens and blooms to create that abundant, just-picked-from-the-garden feeling that makes a room come alive.

What you'll learn

  • How to create lush, organic arrangements with a garden-gathered look
  • Working with a compote vessel and floral foam alternatives
03

Scraps & Bud Vases

Bonus

The art of using every last petal

20 min

Using the leftover stems, buds, and bits from our first two arrangements, we will create a collection of petite bud vases. It is a lesson in seeing beauty in what might otherwise be overlooked, and a reminder that even the smallest bloom deserves a moment. You will leave with an armful of tiny arrangements perfect for windowsills, bedside tables, or gifts.

What you'll learn

  • Creative ways to use every last stem, scrap, and bud

What to Expect

  • All flowers, tools, and vessels are provided
  • Light refreshments will be available
  • Wear something you do not mind getting a little water or greenery on
  • Small groups to ensure plenty of one-on-one guidance
  • A relaxed, encouraging atmosphere; this is about joy, not perfection

What You Take Home

You will leave with an armful of arrangements and the know-how to keep creating long after the workshop ends.
